Provides diagnostic evaluations & subsequent brief focused psychotherapy utilizing individual, family, marital, group interventions, to general clinic outpatient population, to include services to children diagnosed w/Autism Spectrum Disorder & their families. Supervises the clinical work of unlicensed Mental Health Professionals as requested. The job title & salary range will be commensurate based on individual qualifications.

Essential Functions:
- The duties vary based on in-patient &/or outpatient assignment

- Evaluates & provides therapeutic intervention for patients requesting mental health services utilizing short-term solution oriented individual, marital, family, &/or group psychotherapy, &/or biofeedback, using verbal communication & testing skills
- Also provides therapy for mental health & family issues to the population of children through age 18 who have both mental health & Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnoses
- Communicates effectively w/outside agencies regarding treatment plans for referring agencies &/or outside providers; this may include preparation of written clinical reports &/or consultations
- Must be able to sit majority of day during patient evaluation & psychotherapy sessions
- Position requires working around moving equipment such as wheel chairs stretchers
- May be required to lift & carry up to 15 pounds throughout the workday, (e.g., medical charts)
- In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors & principles defined by the Kaiser Permanente Service Quality Credo, the KP Mission as well as specific departmental/organizational initiatives
- Also accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, & behaviors necessary to provide superior & culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, & to purchasers, contracted providers & vendors The union & the company are currently reviewing the grade/qualifications/duties of this position. If it is determined that the grade/qualifications/duties be changed (seniority dates, dues payments etc.) will be applied on a retroactive basis based on the employment commencement date.



Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree or its equivalent (as determined by the board)

- Any one of the following four (4) credentials will be acceptable. The job title and pay rate will be assigned at time of hire based on credential:
- 2 years post master's or 1 year of post-doctoral practice under appropriate supervision in applied Psychotherapy or Marriage & Family Therapy w/Colorado licensure as a LCSW or LMFT

- OR Master's degree in psychiatric nursing w/Colorado RN license & 1 year of psychotherapy experience
- OR PH.D. degree in psychology & licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Colorado

- Specialization in providing mental health services to children w/Autism Spectrum Disorder, demonstrated by at least 1 year supervised experience in which providing services to this population was an essential responsibility - Experience treating anxiety disorders & depressive disorders in the population of children diagnosed w/Autism Spectrum Disorder
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) & Taxonomy code required at time of hire

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience w/Functional Behavior Analysis &/or Applied Behavioral Analysis
