Monsanto is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Global Procurement organization as an Administrative Assistant. In this role, you will provide direct administrative support to the Procurement Team, both domestic and international. This dynamic role includes strong administrative components along with strategic support of operational needs. You will also interact closely with the Monsanto's Procurement Teams across all Monsanto global regions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for Procurement strategic initiatives
- Coordinate and plan meetings and communications for some members of the management team (includes scheduling weekly and monthly conference calls)
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel across all Monsanto global regions to support activities/processes related to the International Procurement teams
- Assist Procurement managers with presentation materials, coordinate with facilitators for presentations Coordinate new hire welcome programs for all new Procurement team members, assist in on-boarding all newly hired employees, schedule interviews with internal and external candidates
- Support corporate business practices such as procurement card tracking, processing of invoices, expense reporting, travel policies, and managing supplies
- Manage frequent communications, and meeting schedules for external vendors, internal and external business partners, and other key stakeholders
- Coordinate onsite and offsite team events
- Work closely with Sr. Administrative Assistant in prioritizing work and providing back up support
- Manage office supply inventory
- Coordinate office and cube moves through partnership with internal moving services and IT support teams
- Manage budget through SAP. Process and manage invoices and purchase orders using SAP

Requirements |
The successful candidate should possess the following qualities:
Required Skills/Experience:
- 3+ years of experience providing administrative/executive administrative support to multiple managers in a fast paced, complex, cross functional environment
- Strong Skills utilizing MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Proficient using SAP for invoice and PO management, Experience coordinating international travel and obtaining travel visas
- Demonstrated relationship management and networking skills to function in a highly diverse environment and work team
- Ability to interact with others at all levels, and within the administrative team to improve processes, gain efficiencies, and create a positive team environment
- Self-starter with high energy level, strong results and customer-orientation, and confidence in professional abilities
- Intercultural competency (ability to work within a multi-national, multi-ethnic, multi-lingual organization)
- Completed High School Degree/GED.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree
- Budgeting and Forecasting skills in SAP
- Experience working in a matrix environment
