Sodexo is seeking a Food Service General Manager 3 for St. Ann's Home of the Aged located in Jersey City, New Jersey. St. Ann's Home has been providing care for the elderly since 1911 and they take pride in the care they offer to the residents and their families.
The successful General Manager for this home will ensure that exceptional meals are provided to the residents of this 120 bed skilled facility. Additionally, this manager will oversee 30 client, union frontline (hourly) employees and two Sodexo supervisors and the production of all resident and adult daycare meals as well as a small employee feeding program. Ensuring that Sodexo procedures are followed including Sodexo food and physical safety programs, HACCP standards and training of staff will also be a responsibility for this manager.

The deal candidate has will have a formal degree, valid ServSafe certificate, previous experience with Department of Health regulatory guidelines, excellent knowledge of food presentation, fundamental culinary knowledge, food and labor management systems experience, strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace and experience in a skilled care community. The best qualified candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills and will be hands-on during dining experiences as the position will interface with the client and residents on a regular basis. This manger will work primarily a day shift schedule (with a typical start time of 8:00 am) as well as a Monday through Friday schedule, but must be available to work some weekends as needed in order to cover business demands . This position is also responsible for ensuring the positive outcomes for all planning and organizing in support of the Sodexo Brand at all dining experiences in a respectful and appreciative manner.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
