The Wireless Component Release Engineer will be responsible for the release of components used in the keyless entry system in current and new vehicles. The system features includes Passive Entry, Keyless Go, and Tire Pressure Monitoring. The Components used are called RFHUB (Radio Frequency Hub), KIN (Keyless Ignition Node), IGNM (Key Reader Module), and FOBs (electronic keys). The job requires frequent interfacing with tier 1 suppliers to track program timing and deliverables. The Wireless Component Release Engineer will be involved in resolving component software and hardware issues with the supplier; support manufacturing plants builds. Some component and vehicle level testing will be required.
Basic Qualification:
* Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering
* Interest in radio frequency communications
* Self-Starter and highly motivated to be the best
* Ability to work autonomously and in teams
* Ability to debug CAN bus data
* Ability to work with designers to package parts in vehicle space
* Ability to debug subsystem issues in vehicle
* Ability to read EE schematics and block diagrams
* Ability to handle pressure and resolve conflicts
* Prior component releasing experience
* Specification writing experience
* Component Validation experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
* Knowledge of CAN communications, LIN communications, and the tools used to capture and analyze data
* Experience with automotive product development processes and deliverables such as technical specifications, DFMEA, service manuals, owner's manuals, diagnostics trouble codes, DVP&R, PSO, and PPAP
