Altria Client Services' role is to provide high quality services to the Altria family of companies. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Tax Analyst to join our Corporate Tax department in Richmond, VA.
The successful candidate will provide assistance for Altria Group, Inc. and its domestic subsidiaries in meeting its domestic tax compliance responsibilities.
Specific responsibilities include:
Assisting in the preparation of separate company and consolidated federal income tax returns for Altria Group, Inc. and its domestic subsidiaries.
Assisting in the preparation of separate company and combined filing multi-state income tax returns for Altria Group, Inc. and its domestic subsidiaries.
Assisting in the preparation of indirect tax returns for Altria Group, Inc. and its domestic subsidiaries.
Maintaining tax accounts including required reconciliations
Responding to notices from various tax authorities.
Provide analytical support for special projects as requested.

Requirements |
Qualifications include:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA/CPA candidate and/or an advanced degree in Taxation or Business is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience with a 'Big 4' accounting firm working on publicly traded companies and/or a large publicly traded manufacturing company.
Exceptional analytical and technical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; a basic understanding of relational database concepts, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Corptax or similar tax software.
