CAFM Manager Facilities Planning Oakland, CA Facilities Planning is seeking an energetic, highly motivated team member to become the CAFM Manager. Working in partnership with the Facilities Planning and Design Directors, the manager is responsible for expanding CAFM's value proposition, developing and leading the strategic direction of CAFM, and bringing CAFM to the forefront of organizations managing a large facilities portfolio. This team manager also administers CAFM software to analyze and manage design/space requirements for all Kaiser Permanente facilities. This team member also manages databases used to warehouse CAFM information, manages staff, prepares reports for government reimbursement, and develops new reporting strategies where applicable for activities related to the design, space planning, layout, and specifications of hospital/medical facility furniture and systems products. This team member also accesses new technologies as they relate to the CAFM group. Kaiser Permanente National Facilities Services manages over 77 million square feet of space. CAFM connects to multiple systems within Facilities Planning and Design,Real Property Acquisition , Construction Acquisition, and Facilities Operations, and works with clients throughout Kaiser Permanente. This candidate will need to be politically and socially aware, patient, collaborative, empathetic, and fearless in the pursuit of Kaiser Permanente's mission. This candidate will:
- Expand CAFM's value proposition, develop and lead the strategic direction of CAFM, and bring the CAFM group to the forefront of organizations, managing a large facilities portfolio.
- Supervise, organize and lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the inventory systems. Create policies for the collection, disbursement, tracking and analyzing of inventory data. Be accountable for the integrity, accuracy and consistency of the inventory data. Serve as a resource and advisor for lower level CAFM specialists.
- Manage and conduct on-site square footage audits, with a facility representative, of all medical facilities and regional buildings. Ensure and verify departmental and functional use of all rooms; interpret and apply KP and general industry standards to each circumstance. Identify possible issues that require clarification and a collaborative decision.
- Educate the facility representative on the implications of the various reporting alternatives. Develop new reporting strategies where applicable. Analyze data and produce required reports for government reimbursement.
- Supply baseline property information utilized by management to determine the need for leasing or constructing new space. Conduct location analyses for regional and facilities planning.
- Manage staff and responsible for maintaining inventory database, which tracks the square footage; acreage; parking; and the rooms, beds and spaces as licensed, designed, available and occupied by function and department for assigned area/region.
- Manage and responsible for gathering and monitoring information on construction/renovation projects and operational changes to determine departments affected, amount of square footage involved and the impact on hospital beds and/or provider offices.
- Manage and be responsible for existing-condition CAD drawings after post occupancy walk through.
- Serve as an internal expert on Archibus, BIM, and other facility information systems.
- Gain cooperation, acceptance or approval, in resolving problems, and/or negotiating with other parties to arrive at an agreement.
- Provide managerial responsibility for one or more teams or departments, which may be managed by employees with formal supervisory or team lead responsibilities.
- Accomplish results through subordinates who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.
- Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements.
- Have responsibility for review and input to project budget.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Business . Knowledge of Architecture, Space Planning, Engineering, or field is helpful.
- Skills in Archibus, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Autocad, Revit/BIM software required.
- Preferred: 12- 20 years of general management experience.
