Analyzes and provides financial data to operating departments. Develops and maintains relationships with key operational customers. Monitors customer financial performance and provides feedback.
Essential Functions:
- Directs the collection, analysis, compilation, documentation, reconciliation, and preparation of data and information for a wide variety of statistical and accounting reports and studies.
- Analyzes financial performance of operational customers.
- Seeks to understand business of customer and acts as an informational resource.
- Provides feedback on performance against financial targets.
- Maintains current knowledge of changes in operational areas.
- Analyzes, recommends, and instructs operating departments on financial internal controls.
- Ensures integrity of financial data.
- Performs reconciliation between financial systems and general ledger records.
- Develops, implements, and maintains accounting manuals and reporting systems.
- Receives, identifies, and performs follow-up on all difficult and unusual problems pertaining to general accounting.
- Serves as an expert resource to the accounting team.

Requirements |
Basic Qualifications:
- Four (4) years financial data collection, processing, reporting, and analysis experience or related equivalent education required.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, related field or equivalent related experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of research, analysis, and laws as related to area of responsibility required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in conflict resolution, results orientation, decision making, customer service, influence, negotiation, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, analytical, quality management, systems thinking, teamwork, written communication, organizational skills, adaptability, creativity/innovation, and team building required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in business administration with concentration in accounting preferred.
- Certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA) by the department of commerce & consumer affairs preferred.
- Knowledge of Kaiser Permanente systems and organization preferred.
