Description

Purpose :  This role is responsible for the management and execution of all credit related processes for assigned Regional Brands.  In addition this role will support the FarmerSelect financing offer for assigned Regional Brands to include all aspects of the administration and execution of the 0% Seed Financing programs.  These credit and financing offers are key programs utilized primarily by our farmer customers.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage all credit related and financing related processes for assigned Regional Brands.
  • Lead in-season credit review process in close coordination with brand leadership, operations and sales teams. Analyze sales and credit information and establish customer credit lines permitting the highest level of sales, consistent with reasonable risk.
  • Recommend and promote key risk mitigation strategies designed to maximize sales without creating unnecessary risk. Drive the utilization of in house financing as a key risk mitigation strategy for dealers.
  • Execute the annual credit review process consistent with credit policy and review guidelines. Utilize sales, marketing program, payment and financing information to estimate net exposure for billable customers and update throughout the season as necessary to understand credit risk.
  • Identify and champion process improvement opportunities in support of business goals and objectives.
  • Manage Status, Settlement, Utilization and other reporting for the Regional brands.
  • Oversight responsibility for the early cash discount process, including reviewing requests for exceptions and reversing unearned discounts.
  • Analyzes customer credit, financial, and industry information to establish customers' credit limits permitting highest profitable sales while limiting exposure and risk.
  • Collaborates with and key contact for the Customers, Business and Sales, to support, develop, and communicate respectfully on credit policies and credit strategies.
  • Provides technical credit solutions to a wide range of difficult business problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with business objectives.
  • Roll out and train sales force, marketing, supply chain and other internal customers plus dealers, growers, strategic accounts and other external customers on financing offers and credit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policy and procedures along with Sarbanes Oxley controls. Support internal and external audit requirements. Recommend policy and process improvements as appropriate.


Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, combined with solid analytical skill Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience in a finance role is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Sef motivated with strong results orientation
  • must also demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneousl
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Solid knowledge of MS office applications, particularly Excel
  • Good working knowledge of SAP
 
 
***The candidate must have ability to travel for farmer/customer visits and training. (Typically 1 – 2 day trips)
