We currently have openings for 1 Seed Technician position. Seed Technicians are involved in all facets of seed production within a location. This will include leading the sites safety program and ISO program and may include crop production, harvest, conditioning, maintenance, packaging, or warehousing. This positions will be located at our Pre Foundation site in Redwood Falls, MN. Our Seed Technicians are key members of our team ensuring the highest quality product for our customers. Working at the front-end of our production, Seed Technicians are essential to the overall success of our company and the timely, efficient, and high-quality product delivery. In this position you will work closely with, and support other on-site personnel in an effort to continuously improve our processes and consistently establish the highest standards in the industry for safety, seed quality, cost, and supply reliability. Responsibilities: General
- Crop Production: planting, re-bag processed lots
- Harvest: receiving
- Conditioning: seed sizing, cleaning, and treatment application
- Packaging: packaging, labeling and tagging seed
- Warehousing: organizing, moving and placing seed into storage, maintaining inventory accuracy utilizing electronic inventory systems
- Distribution: stage seed for shipment to other warehouses and customers, receive seed from other warehouses
Responsibilities: Safety
- Supervise the work activities and personnel involved with completion of the safety and health programs.
- Assist in the on-boarding of new hires.
- Organize safety and driver training, first aid, accident incident management, and safety committees.
- Conduct site inspections and audits as required by site management and Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) programs.
- Acquisition and distribution of safety related materials, supplies and equipment.
- Initiate and complete the preparation of related and required records.
- Maintain compliance with all related state, US, and Company policies and regulations.
- Organize and plan monthly safety meetings
Responsibilities: ISO/Quality
- Supervise the work activities and personnel involved with completion of ISO and QMS programs.
- Conduct site inspections and quality ISO audits as required by site management.
- Acquisition and distribution of ISO related materials.
- Initiate and complete the preparation of related and required records.
- Maintain compliance with all related ISO and Company policies and regulations.
