Description

The Urgent Care LPN is responsible for collection and documentation of patient information to include vital signs, chief complaint, review of medications, allergies health risk screen information, status of extended care benefits and other services in a critical care environment.
 
***This position is a 12 hour Night Shift 7pm-7:30am rotating weekends and holidays***  
Primary Responsibilities:
 
  • Anticipate provider needs for patient exam or treatments.
  • Provides clinical intervention such as drug administration, treatments, IV access and procedures as ordered by provider and within scope of practice.
  • Assists co-workers with duties when requested to include, but not limited to, floating to other areas including Observation Unit.
  • Responsible for compliance requirements such as laboratory QC management, waive testing, maintenance of crash cart and narcotic count as well as other requirements dictated by clinic needs.
  • Responsible to maintain required licensure and certification.
  • Ability to function as a strong team member in a fast paced critical environment.

Must have high knowledge level of customer service principles and ability to remain calm and composed in pressured situations. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to learn and apply job functions. Must be able to meet all health requirements prior to employment and periodically thereafter, as required by company policy/state regulations to verify free from communicable disease and physically able to perform assigned duties.

Requirements

 

Qualifications:
 
  • Current Unrestricted LPN Licensure in the state of Nevada required.
  • 1+ years of clinical nursing experience required (preferably in an acute, ER or Urgent Care setting).
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • IV certification/experience or willing to obtain upon hire.
  • Blood draw/lab experience is a must.
  • Willing to float to 23 observation unit required.
  • Shifts are 3 12 hour night shifts 7pm-7:30am (rotating weekends and holidays required).
