• The LPN is responsible for participating in day to day clinical care of terminal patients and their families
• Works with structured issues and tasks: communication with Hospisce RNs and  MDs to obtain orders necessary for patient care
• Work is under supervision of RN
• The LPN will assist the patient in learning appropriate self-care techniques.

Requirements:

• Current unrestricted LPN license in the state of Nevada required

• The LPN will be a graduate of a licensed LPN program.

• 1+ years of clinical experience working as a LPN required 

• Demonstrates competence in community health or medical/surgical patient care setting. 

• IV Certification or ability to pass IV Competency skill test within six months of hire

• CPR certification or willing to obtain with in 30 days of hire

• Good communication skills, excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills

• Ability to climb, lift, balance, walk, stoop and handle medical materials

• Must possess computer skills, window based applications, and organization skills.

• Vehicle in good condition for in-town travel and required insurance on vehicle

• Current driver's license
• Demonstrates key technical skills utilized in the day-to-day management of hospice patients.

Preferred Assets:

• One year's experience in hospice highly preferred
• EMR (electronic medical records) experience preferred
