Cryptanalytic Computer Network Operations Development Program

About the Program

With ever-accelerating technological advances and the world's dependence on computer networks, the National Security Agency (NSA) must meet and overcome new and multifaceted challenges every day to accomplish its cryptologic mission.

To meet these needs, the Cryptanalytic Computer Network Operations Development Program (C2DP) trains highly motivated and talented computer scientists, mathematicians, engineers and other related professionals.  Participants in this development program employ advanced computer science, electrical engineering, and mathematical approaches to solve challenging cryptanalytic problems of critical importance to protecting the nation's interests in cyberspace.  Some exciting topics are high performance computer systems engineering, hardware/software development and design.

Program Requirements
During this three-year program, each participant will attend training and complete rotational assignments to build skills in specific mission-related competency areas supporting cryptanalysis. Participants may take additional coursework directly related to a rotational assignment, or to advance a specific technical concentration. Program participants will have a unique opportunity to develop extensive diversification while establishing long-lasting professional contacts.  Members of the program are full-time, salary-earning employees.  Upon conclusion of the three-year program, each graduate will be placed in an office relating to the program's core competencies based jointly on the needs of the mission and the participant's preferences.
