Product Architect

As a Product Architect, you are part of advanced engineering team developing novel future industrial sensing platforms and products. In collaboration with other engineering functions, you define, specify and release new products developed around sensing technologies for Automation and Machine Safety applications.

Responsibilities:


  • Define and drive product and platform level architectures and technology requirements taking into account modularity and scalability goals


  • Translate architecture into system, hardware and firmware requirements while considering mechanical and optical subsystems and components


  • Develop the architecture and its documentation, components and interface specifications for the product and its subsystems including details about multiple sensing technologies being used, related algorithms and networking capabilities. Organize and participate to architecture reviews.


  • Develop the firmware architecture and firmware design documentation, participate to hardware/firmware partitioning process and budgeting of firmware related requirements such as MIPS, response time and data structure size


  • Identify and coordinate dependencies between engineering activities to design, implement and build prototypes


  • Provide technical leadership about the product capabilities, application and use case scenario


  • Collaborate with other team members, including software/firmware, mechanical and electrical engineering and outside partners globally.


  • Participate to firmware development



Minimum Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering plus 10 years of experience in developing system and product Architecture


  • Demonstrated capability of developing architecture based on high level system requirements and application needs. 


  • Experience in generating a set of acceptance test requirements, together with the designers, test and application engineers which determine that all of the high level product requirements have been met, especially for the computer-human-interface and user case scenario.


  • Experience with embedded systems, microprocessor platforms and designs


  • Expert in C/C++ programming languages.


  • Experience with Matlab or other modelling language and tools

  • Work across cross-functional project teams


  • Ability to operate in a matrix environment


  • Ability to work successfully with all functions of the organization in a collaborative team environment


  • Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Model driven architecture development
