The sales engineering role is a critical link between Rockwell Automation and our customers. Associate Sales Engineers are responsible for customer relationships and market share growth in an assigned geographic area. Associate Sales Engineers consult our customers on the effective application of Rockwell Automation products and services. They develop and manage new customer accounts, advise customers on automation solutions and introduce new products. Associate Sales Engineers begin their careers with a structured, rotational training program. The sales training program enables our new sales engineering hires to establish a strong foundation of sales, professional, and technical skills through both classroom and on-the-job training.
Associate Sales Engineers need to become thorough familiar with company policies and procedures and appropriately apply policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.
