In this role you will be an integral team member providing Quality leadership for the Control Products and Solutions (CP&S) business. This position requires a Customer Quality advocate to the CP&S functional teams who has the ability to contribute passion and improvement vision in a highly collaborative, fast paced, very technical environment.
This role provides the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of Quality activities spanning new product development to Customer quality, focused on driving improvements in business results for the CP&S organization. Key areas of focus include but not limited to:
Quality Management across multiple product teams which includes establishing and executing of a quality plan and objectives.
Participate in highly collaborative product development teams.
Define, collect, analyze and report on project and process metrics.
Review project deliverables and assess compliance to established plans and processes.
Provide an independent assessment to the Quality Management Team of any risks that may impact the customer experience when using Rockwell Automation Products.
Work with the development and application groups in creating standard processes and methods to develop software of a higher levels of quality.
Utilize various tools and methods to gather and report statistics on different phases of the software development life cycle for use by the development teams.
Leverage professional concepts and company objectives to identify continuous improvement opportunities and resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Identify root cause of the problems and establish the corrective actions.
Work with cross functional teams on Quality activities, such as Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma Projects and Product Audits.
Facilitate and participate in retrospectives for continuous improvement of products and processes. Promote development and tracking of action items.
Share best practices throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will preferably bring a fundamental knowledge of RA products (or similar Automation system technologies) and customer application knowledge. These skills coupled with a software/firmware quality and/or development background will provide a technical foundation to support this diverse role.
- Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical degree
- Software Quality Assurance would be a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are a must.
- Strong skills in data analytics with soft tools such as Excel and Power BI.
- At least 3 years working in a Software/Firmware Development Environment or Test Environment.

Certification in Lean Six Sigma, CMMI and/or ISO.
Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products.
Quality Engineer certification a plus.
