Provides technical assistance to hardware design engineers in the prototyping, design, debug and qualification testing of Logix/Netlinx/Kinetix products in accordance with sound and accepted engineering practices.
Assists engineers with the coordination of product release to manufacturing by interfacing to the PCB, Industrialization, Quality, Marketing and Document Control organizations.
Works on assigned projects and products under the supervision of hardware/software engineers.
Experience within the industrial automation/motion industry.
Experience with PLCs, electric drive controls and power hardware.
Familiarity with some programming language, preferably LabView or Visual Basic
Ability to debug and troubleshoot circuits is a plus
Experience with sophisticated lab test equipment required (e.g. oscilloscope, current and differential probes, etc.). Experience with personal computer office applications.
Applicant must be a self-starter, able to work through problems, and make decisions with minimal guidance.
