Position Summary:


The Program Manager position will lead and support activities that directly impact the strategic growth plans for Plant Services Core Business 'Remanufacturing & Repair' on a global basis.  The Program Manager position is responsible for market research, program development and supporting the global execution of these commercial programs that drive revenue, profitability and efficiencies throughout Plant Services, Customer Support & Maintenance and Rockwell Automation

Provide day to day product management functions to support global remanufacturing and repair activities. This position will lead and/or support the execution of mission critical global activities including, but not limited to, turnaround time (TAT) improvement, import/export acceleration, e-commerce development, modernization support and commercialization of new operational strategies that bring our services closer to our distributors/customers.  This role will be expected to work alongside our product BU's to assure Allen-Bradley products are supported consistently around the globe throughout the product lifecycle

Manage the market research process to provide the necessary inputs to fuel growth within the core business.  This includes improvements to existing product/service offerings, and new market opportunities that have yet to be explored by Rockwell Automation-Plant Services

Deliver training and market strategy to the various field resources, and brand channels, that support the growth of Plant Services core products and services

Interface with Rockwell Automation customers, management, suppliers, sales, operations, product groups, and distributors across the globe

Responsibilities


  • Support on-going product management of remanufacturing and repair within Plant Services across the globe. The Program Manager will represent the commercial team for activities such as common process development (CPD) new product introductions, product discontinuation/end of life and other product management functions


  • Responsible for driving details of marketing plans.  Project focus will include leading Ease of Doing Business (EODB) initiatives and revenue generating opportunities for the core business


  • Develop relationships with global sales, channel partners, and field resources to promote growth in the Plant Services core business


  • Understand regional specific programs / best practices and how they can be adjusted for potential cross-pollination around the globe


  • Ensure maximum penetration of core products and services to distributors, OEM's, and end-users through the creation of a specialized training program for sales, channel partners, and field resources that teach the selling of "solutions"


  • Develop and manage a process that assures an understanding of market conditions, position, wants, and needs.  Work with the various market contact points within the organization to identify barriers to core business, developing plans that overcome the barriers of success, and identify metrics for measuring success after removal of the barriers


  • Assist in the identification and quantification of strategic product opportunities that are growth catalysts for Plant Services' present and future customer base and channels


  • Identify and quantify strategic product opportunities and identify opportunities for improving existing product lines


  • Partner with marketing resources to develop market segmentation models, effective marketing communications, publicity, advertising, and promotional literature/sales tools


  • Support the strategic direction and short-range and long-range goals and objectives for the Plant Services and the broader CSM organization


  • Ensure appropriate and favorable terms and conditions for Rockwell Automation in negotiations


  • Provide mentorship/direction to early career employees such as LDP's and interns



Minimum Qualifications:


Education Requirements
B.S. Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent field of study.
 
Experience Required
Minimum four years of sales, marketing or equivalent.  Experience in industrial automation services is a plus.
 
Physical Requirements  
Work requires the ability to operate a personal computer and the mobility to travel both domestically and internationally. Travel requirements include the ability to travel to meet with employees, attend meetings, visit suppliers, visit customers, and make presentations.
 
Travel Requirements
Up to 40% with a mix of domestic and international.
