Position Summary:

Within assigned geography, the Power Control Area Manager is responsible for the development of sales strategies and plans and implementation for low and medium voltage drives, Motor Control Centers, drive systems and associated services to meet or exceed annual sales goals and grow market share.

This individual is also responsible for providing sales leadership and consultation within assigned geography as well as assuming direct involvement in major sales opportunities. Possesses domain expertise of industries applications.

Is able to help customer specify assigned products / services and for establishing and maintaining relationships at key accounts. Responsible for identifying customer technical/commercial challenges and engaging appropriate resources to bring issues to resolution.


  1. Serves as a technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and close complex technical sales.

  2. Works with Sales Account Manager when opportunities are identified.

  3. Sells limited number of specialized company products and or services, typically a single product or product line.

  4. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

  5. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline.  Additional business related degree/experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Power Automation Industry including applications, commercial support, customer engagement and business management.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to travel greater than 50% of time.
