This Application Engineering intern will work with the Process Application Center engineering team within the Global Solutions business to learn the execution process for our projects in Specialty Chemical, Pulp & Paper and Mining applications. The Engineering Intern works under the direction of an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead Engineers to provide assistance in project execution activities. Individuals must have a demonstrated record of technical competence, interpersonal skills, leadership ability and a strong desire for achievement.
Potential activities could include:
Functional Design work, software development, hardware design
Potential projects for summer 2017: Chemical: thin film plastics processing, Mining: potash processing, Chemical: plastic extrusion
Must be permanently eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship or part of the Brazil Mobility Program
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
Must be working towards a bachelor's of science degree in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from and accredited college or university.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Strong communication skills - verbal and written
Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent drafting program
Previous internship or co-op experience or experience with Allen Bradley products
Must be able to work part-time during the school year
Preferred minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Preferred Chemical Engineering degree
Preferred work location is Mequon, WI
