The sales engineering role is a critical link between Rockwell Automation and our customers. Sales internships are the first step to a career as a sales engineer. The sales intern will be responsible for a focused customer facing, sales-related activity that may include launching new products, introducing Rockwell Automation software tools, gaining education on Rockwell's technology, etc. The high school sales intern will be introduced to the disciplined selling process and how to make a sales call.
The ideal high school intern candidate should be college bound (or accepted/enrolled at an accredited university) with a strong academic record, have participated in FIRST Robotics or another STEM-based program, proven teamwork skills and communication aptitude. Candidates must be permanently eligible to work in the U.S. and able to provide own transportation to work. Active participation in a student organization such as Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), or National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) a plus. Preferred majors (or intended fields of study, if not currently college-enrolled) are Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical) and Computer Science.
