The Software Test Engineer is responsible for leading the test planning and test execution of Windows-based software to support servo drive products. The position will have cross-functional responsibilities in new product development including test effort estimation, test planning, test case generation, test execution, test reporting and product anomaly reporting. The candidate will be a member of a small to medium-sized team and will often perform in a leadership role. He or she will also collaborate with other teams and occasionally give direction to other helper teams. The candidate should be self-directed and able to adjust to changes in project priority and scope.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar degree
5 years experience in Software Testing, Software Development, Applications Engineering, Technical Support, or other Testing/Quality Assurance role
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency and understanding of the architecture, specification and software/firmware design of motion control systems or industrial power conversion equipment
Experience with test planning within the Agile/Scrum environment
Experience with Rockwell Automation products or other industrial control equipment
Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools for test equipment qualification, test system problem solving, and identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities
Experience with product/software life cycle management
Experience with test planning based on requirements traceability using requirements management tools
