Are you Biomedical Equipment Technician 3, which will support a location in Central Florida. Parrish Medical Center is a 210 Bed acute care hospital that has been nationally recognized for clinical care quality, patient safety, a patient’s hospital experience and a healing environment. We are located in Titusville on Florida’s Space Coast, within sight of the Kennedy Space Center launch towers. The hospital has a large in-patient and out-patient Surgery Department, a 12 Bed ICU, three in-patient floors and a multitude of ancillary services.
We are seeking individuals who have a passion for personal and professional development that want to make a difference with everything they do; solution-oriented candidates who excel at being part of a team and customer service; demonstrate proven success as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET). Sodexo’s BMET professionals have:
- Basic understanding of preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance clinical devices such as: Puritan Bennett/CareFusion Ventilator, Hospira Infusion Pumps, Medfusion, Cath lab, cardiac cath, Draeger anethesia, Steris sterilizers, Telemetry, Balloon Pumps, Spacelabs monitors, Nurse Call, Critical Alerts; and OEMs such as, GE, Philips, Siemens;
- Required on-call rotational schedule required
- Some travel may be required
Under minimal supervision of the General Manager, Clinical Technology Management (CTM)/Site Supervisor, inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate all types of basic clinical equipment, devices, system, and instruments. Interact on a routine basis with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solution development. A BMET III represents the highest level of technical expertise and possesses the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the full range of clinical inventory devices, instrumentation, and systems. The BMET III will possess a substantial background of knowledge and experience and is expected to contribute to: corporate initiatives regarding improvement and development of policy and procedures; technical guidance in the selection and installation of medical equipment and systems; and staff development and mentorship. The BMET III will work toward status of a Site Supervisor or GM, CTM by attaining significant proficiency in supervisory and administrative skills leading toward leadership positions.
