Position Summary:


The Business Readiness Manager (BRM) serves as the liaison between IT and Operations & Engineering Services (OES) for any IT and SAP related projects. The BRM is an influential leader who has experience with managing a diverse project portfolio of business readiness activities related to business strategy, process, and technologies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Build relationships with OES business stakeholders and work to gain an understanding of their strategic direction, operational needs, constraints and opportunities. 


  • Liase with business peers and IT to assist in evaluating projects, drive adoption and compliance of IT tools and procedures and maximize productivity within the business.  


  • Identify site team members to execute business readiness activities. 


  • Provide strategic consultation to OES on design business processes.  Translates conceptual requirements into functional requirements.


  • Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to align project charters with business objectives. 


  • Maintain a high degree of visibility within the business, attend business meetings and appropriate management forums, as feasible, to serve as central point of contact for all OES IT projects. 


  • Establish a communication network where information will be exchanged on a regular basis to end users and key stakeholders. 


  • Lead OES Business Process Owners (BPO) to develop and maintain end to end processes within OEs that impact Rockwell. 


  • Inform OES management of impact and risks associated with process change.  Sign off and assess risk on business readiness prior to SAP go live. 


  • Acts as the voice of IT within the business. 


  • Ensure a thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures.  Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.  Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.



Minimum Qualifications:


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree or education.


  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Project management


  • Strong understanding of an SAP environment


  • Strong understanding of IT


  • Experience in strategic thinking and leading and executing projects.

  • Solid understanding of the business and significant knowledge in subject matters pertaining to both IT and the business.


  • Shares viewpoints openly and directly with others, providing relevant and timely information to those who need it; helps others do so, too. 


  • Communicates clearly and persuasively, in both oral and written form, to all varieties and levels of audience. 


  • Consistently moves problems towards resolution when encountering obstacles, uncertain conditions, or situations where lack of data or conflicting data means that there is no clear "right" choice; helps others do same.
