The Role: Bilingual Senior Editor, Dailybreak CP

Are you a bilingual Senior Editor with experience building a Spanish news and entertainment website? Dailybreak CP has an exciting opportunity for an experienced content professional. We are inaugurating our Spanish language platform, and are looking for a visionary to take us from great idea to words on the page. You will get to oversee the launch of a major new multi device site using our proprietary platform. You will manage all original and branded content on our site.

Our ideal candidate is connected to the American Latino market, a leader, an experienced Spanish language content producer, editor and media junkie with a passion for growing our reader base. Establish content publishing guidelines and a site voice that matches our target audience.
Write creative, compelling and engaging content
Grow site traffic, retention and engagement.
Manage, recruit and train contract writers and in house staff.
Maintain editorial calendar.
Control schedules and enforce deadlines.
Cultivate relationships with other relevant Spanish site editors and promote shared content and backlinks.
Oversee proofreading procedures and edit copy as needed.
Make sure site has optimal mix of both content types (quiz, trivia, list, poll, games) and content verticals (life, entertainment, news, laugh) 24/7.
Control all promotional efforts.



A proven track record of growing a sites KPI's
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding Spanish and English skills
Strong communication and people abilities
1+ year managing an editorial team for an online publisher
5+ years' experience writing and publishing content
Existing relationships with other successful online Spanish media publishers
Knowledge of SEO and Social Media optimization techniques
Exceptional copywriting and editing competency
BS/BA in journalism or relevant field
Experience working with CMS; basic knowledge of HTML and Photoshop
