Position Summary:


Penske Truck Leasing is looking for a dynamic individual who will lead a team of IT associates in providing State of the Art Technology solutions to support our Extranet websites.  This position will be responsible for planning, management, and execution of our web and mobile Extranet development team.




In this position, the successful candidate will manage the internal development team and work with our internal departments and Marketing group, as well as, external vendors on our customer facing Extranet websites. The ideal candidate will have broad based experience in development and responsive design, for the web and mobile, using the latest techniques and technologies.




Major Responsibilities: 


-Building relationships and trust working successfully with our internal departments while taking a consultative approach to defining solutions that meet their customers technology needs while continuing to lead a successful team


-Managing the development effort and ensuring that the proper process is followed and the deliverables meet Penske standards


-Working with Process, IT and/or Vendor teams to ensure on-time successful delivery of systems


-Guiding and mentoring associates in their career development and helping design/implement processes to increase efficiency


-Keeping up with related technologies and concepts


-Other projects as assigned by manager



Requirements


-Must have 3 or more years of project management experience (including large scale projects, and managing multiple projects at one time) and 10+ years of functional experience
-Experience in building custom applications including Software (OOD) and Hardware Architecture.  An understanding of architectures that include relational DB's, API management, SOA, and ESB.  Big Data and Cloud experience is a plus.
-Detailed knowledge and experience using current development languages to include but not limited to HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, Angular, SQL, and Java.  Also native mobile Android and iOS development are preferred.
-Advanced experience in web metrics, and Search technologies.  UML, Splunk, and Atlassian experience is also preferred.
-A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience necessary.  Advanced degrees or Quality certification preferred.
-Experience in leading teams in evaluating, selecting, integrating and implementing application software (package) solutions when appropriate.
-Management leadership training and experience.
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
