Main Purpose and Scope of the Job

  1. To understand the solutions developed and delivered by Central PS. 

  2. Scope the technicalities of fully bespoke solutions so they can be successfully delivered.

  3. Support the field with large, complex projects that require technical pre-sales support i.e. pricing and timeline

  4. Manage, log and process your cases in the CPS team

  5. Support the rest of the team on large, complex projects


    Business Context


    The Central PS Solution Design and Consulting (SD&C) team is responsible for supporting the sales cycle for Central PS solutions. The SD&C consultant will be responsible for providing support to sales teams for our clients who require a custom solution.  Projects can include custom or tailored assessments such as Realistic Job Previews, Situational Judgement Tests, Ability Tests Custom Reports, 360s, Applicant Tracking System Integrations, and Business Outcome Studies.  Analysis projects include using data to inform business strategy or answer talent-related questions.  As a SD&C consultant you will ensure that everything has been scoped to cost and quality before providing a hand-over to our delivery teams. As the first point of entry into CPS from the field teams, this role is responsible for managing the day-to-day enquiry and response process.

Risks and issues are identified and actions implemented to address these.





Ensure a high quality service is provided to the field when they require fully bespoke services.


Carry out checks on your own work before it is handed over.



Field requirements and expectations are met - i.e. response in good time and fully answers the enquiry.


Quality and accuracy of work produced.





Time estimated to deliver projects is correct and accurate.



Number of days spent on a delivery task are equal to the number of days estimated.



Relationship management



Maintain and monitor relationships with external and internal teams, ensuring a high quality service.


Swift and accurate scoping support for opportunities and any issues are raised and resolved quickly and efficiently.


Team support and knowledge sharing



Keep team colleagues updated on any new information in a timely way.



Update the Managing Consultant and the Business Development Director on progress with high profile pre-sales enquiries, risks and issues.

Take responsibility for learning about new services, solutions and processes that come out of the Custom Solutions team.



Team members are informed promptly of developments that may affect their work or which will add to their skills or knowledge.


The Managing Consultant and Business Development Director kept up to date with the highlights of the project, any risks, issues and dependencies and how these will be managed

Person Specification









Undergraduate Degree in an IT related technical subject or Undergraduate Degree in Psychology with experience of IT implementation and consulting



Covered by essential
















3 - 5 years of work experience in a related field (IT

related solution delivery)


Basic knowledge of excel and PowerPoint


Good communication and organisational



Experience of working as a member of a



Ability to work independently and manage

own workload


Experience of working within the psychometric testing industry


Level A & B testing


Knowledge of Applicant Tracking and Integration Technology
