Description

IMPAQ is hiring Spanish-English speaking Part-Time Telephone Interviewers to call people about important programs and topics such as healthcare, job training, and other social issues. Telephone Interviewers will make calls from our Columbia, MD office location.

Bilingual interviewers contact people who are fluent in English and Spanish about important programs, health, and social issues to complete 5-45 minute interviews (most are 25 minutes or less)

$14.25 per hour
Part-time work – typically 12-20 hours a week
Weekend hours required
Evening hours required

•Telephone interviewing work varies. Interviewers must be available to work when work is available
•4-5.5 hour shifts
•Our Survey Center is open 7 days a week, daily hours of operation may vary, but currently are:
          12:30pm – 9:00pm Saturday
          3:30pm – 12am Sunday
          10am - 12am Monday - Thursday
          10am - 11pm Friday
•All interviewers must be available to work weekend hours (Saturday and/or Sunday)
•Candidates must attend all training (evenings and weekends) to work on any project

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Conduct telephone interviews in Spanish and English for multiple research studies following a scripted questionnaire verbatim while using computer assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) applications to gather and record responses
•Collect accurate, consistent and reliable data
•Record and code data collected
•Assist with locating and refusal conversion
•Assist with other duties as assigned, such as mail preparation, faxing, filing, etc.
•Must be able to communicate with survey respondents and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner
•Must be willing and able to follow specific directions and established procedures; strict interviewing guidelines; and demonstrated ability to recognize problems and request supervisor assistance



Requirements

•High School Diploma or GED required
•Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in Spanish and English
•Experience with desktop computers and typing required
•Candidates must be able to work 12-20 hours per week during the following times:
          Evenings (Monday-Friday): 6pm-12am ET
          Weekends: Saturday 12:30pm-9pm ET and Sunday 3:30pm - 9pm ET
•Available to start training on June 23, 2017. Project is expected to be completed by August 28, 2017.
•Opportunity to be assigned to additional telephone interviewing projects based on performance
•Proven track record of reliability, technical competence, and performance
•Comfortable communicating with people with a diverse population and socioeconomic groups
•Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to convey the importance of the study to respondents
•Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently
•Customer service experience preferred; preferably in a government agency, hospitality, financial/banking, or professional office setting
