Women Against Abuse, Inc (WAA) is currently recruiting for a Vice President of Finance

Summary of Principle Duties:
Provide and ensure mission-focused vision and leadership to achieve and maintain excellence in our financial operations. The VP of Finance serves as the principal fiscal officer of the Agency; oversees all fiscal activities related to the budget, revenue, expenditures, funding and all related compliance and recording keeping. They will directly supervise the finance department (3 direct reports), be a member of the Executive and Senior Management Teams and work closely with the Finance, Audit and Investment Committees of the board, and assists in developing long-term financial strategies to drive and achieve the organization's mission and strategic plan. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, management and monitoring of the fiscal activities of the organization, grant administration and compliance, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to ensure effective operating results with costs, budgets, policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and 2 CFR 200 -Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles; management of liability insurance packages; and recruitment, supervision & training of the finance staff. All responsibilities are implemented according to our mission and values and according to Agency standards, including the Sanctuary Model.

Hours: Monday Friday, 40 hours per week, flexibility needed
Salary: commensurate with experience as well as a generous, comprehensive benefit package.
Location: Office in Center City Philadelphia, local travel required

Requirements

Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, or related field; CPA, or MBA/MS preferred
A record of progressive experience, including five (5) to seven (7) years accounting management experience in a government funded non-profit required. Human Services non-profit experience strongly preferred.
Previous experience as a Controller/Finance Director, is required, preferably in a (direct federal) government funded non-profit organization.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and 2 CFR 200 -Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, and grant compliance and management
Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Excel and sophisticated Financial Accounting Software required, Intacct preferred.
Proven effectiveness in providing financial leadership and creating the analytic framework for planning and managing organizational growth
Demonstrated effective leadership and strategic thinking skills
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Strong administrative, analysis and organizational skills required (e.g. general operations, contract management)
Will be required to attend 45 hours of Domestic Violence Training, post hire
