JOB SUMMARY: Assist in all aspects of pricing and managing the accident and health business including new product development and pricing, state filings, competitive analyses, experience management, rate actions, and other regulatory requirements.
Perform fundamental actuarial tasks of a mathematical and quantitative nature in support of product pricing, experience analysis, reserving, modelling or rate filings.
Compile and categorize data, documents factors and data sources to be used in computations.
Calculate premiums or reserves for new or existing products.
Perform research, experience studies or other statistical analyses.
Continuous learning of various actuarial concepts, techniques and procedures.
Strong excel, word, powerpoint, SQL, and GGY Axis skills
Internship experience in the insurance industry preferred but not required
Successfully passed 2 or more Actuarial Exams or has earned the equivalent exam credits
Actively pursuing Actuarial designation
Strong math aptitude and business sense
Detail oriented and highly organized
Ability to learn basic actuarial principles
Ability to follow directions
Good communication skills
Ability to work with others in a team environment
Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other related degrees
