River Point Farms, America's largest grower, packer, shipper and processor of onions, has an immediate opening for a Sizing Supervisor at our Processing Plant in Hermiston, Oregon. Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Must have the ability (with minimal supervision) to guide/direct workforce in achieving goals set to meet customer expectations on all quality attributes and delivery of a food safe product. Communicate verbally and in writing to Plant Manager; include shift reports. Have a strong understanding on inventory levels at all times in order to communicate with sales on availability of additional sales orders Constant communication with peer supervisors to ensure FIFO inventory control. Communicate any raw quality/size issues to plant management. Accurately maintain WIP inventory levels at the plant by conducting monthly cycle counts Maximize shift productivity with scheduling adequate amounts of inbound raw lbs. and utilize resources to maximize efficiency. Supervise all raw product movement at the plant, from sizing/sorting, to storage, to cooling units, to raw cooler. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Provide ongoing safety training, know and enforce company food safety rules, GMP'S and personal safety. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent required Bachelor's degree preferred Math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division 3-5 years in similar position Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Well-organized, able to function well under pressure & with high volumes Please email resume to
