Lean Project Engineer
Develops, deploys and implements Lean Six Sigma strategies, procedures and standards to drive Operational Excellence within the organization.  Understands and analyzes different areas of operations such as Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering within non-standard and low volume/high mix environments as well as the ability to identify and execute improvement opportunities on engineering to order (ETO), manufacturing processes to take a non-standard business to the next level in business process improvement productivity, taking advantage of previous Lean Six Sigma philosophies used in manufacturing environments and transactional processes.  Utilizes data-oriented, structured process and statistical analysis to find root cause and is committed to process improvement to solve problems through Lean Six Sigma, and advanced problem solving methodologies (MAAR) across the business divisions, including engineering and operations.  Leads initiatives on developing process governance documentation such as failure mode and effect analysis and control plans on most critical product families to identify highest process risk to prioritize efforts and leverage resources for improvement projects.  Leads the implementation of Rockwell Production Systems (RPS) initiatives to engage and include all production associates and technicians in the continuous improvement mentality to act and participate in safety, cost reduction, productivity, quality, and delivery to satisfy customer and business expectations.  Defines, create and implement several continuous improvement practices, procedures and methods that can be used and replicated around many facilities globally to develop and create standards.  Develops network based applications and tools or programs according to stakeholders requirements across multiple facilities to enable process documentation to be accessible globally to eliminate non value activities for shop floor and engineering personnel.  Conducts and develops Lean Six Sigma material to train associates, engineers, champions and salary personnel to address specific issues per plant, facilitate and provide direction with critical thinking to execute initiatives focused on results.  Leads and execute hands-on Lean Six Sigma projects and kaizen events regularly in remote facilities of non-standard product lines with high variation, being able to deliver results in short time.  Conducts operational working sessions with subject matter experts to determine and discover inefficiencies in the current state process of products of the automation industry, to be able to define and implement a strategic and tactical improvements to be in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 and exceed quality and customer expectations, improve safety, reduce inventory, reduce past due, control backlog, minimize lead time, increase on time delivery, reduce operating costs and reduce warranty returns.  Travel required: 50% domestic and international. 

Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering, and two (2) years of experience as an Engineer-Industrial Automation Manufacturing. As part of the experience being required, applicants must have had: two (2) years of international, multi-plant, multi-cultural experience leading Lean implementations and manufacturing continuous improvement culture transformation through Lean Six Sigma philosophies within an industrial automation manufacturing environment; experience in translating stakeholder manufacturing and production requirements into technical requirements for Lean implementations within an industrial automation manufacturing environment; experience in non-standard environments, including high volume/low mix and low volume/high mix, ETO, PCB, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering and Production Supervision; experience in the application of Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, MAAR and statistical analysis within an industrial automation manufacturing environment; experience in leading and / or facilitating and training others in Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and control plan tools; experience in implementing manufacturing business systems such as Toyota Production System and Rockwell Production System; experience in creating and globally standardizing multiple successful process improvement initiatives; experience in the use of Visio, MS Project, Access DB, HTML, Visual Basic, SAP, Java Script and VBA to develop software and web based systems; experience developing Lean training material and serving as a Lean trainer with certified trainees executing projects impacting on Safety, Cost, Quality or Lead Time; experience executing Lean Six Sigma projects in PFEP with significant business results; and experience in drives, PLC, motor control centers, servo drives, servo motors, safety sensors, I/O modules, PCB, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.  Applicants must be willing to travel 50% of time internationally and domestically, involving long term assignments in potentially remote locations.
