Bring along your passion and do your life's best work.(sm)   The Strategic Product Manager  role is responsible for product management activities of multiple products (includes services offerings) within a portfolio. These activities include working closely with business partners to develop a strategic vision for product offerings and effectively managing all aspects of strategic planning / road mapping, business case development, product prioritization and launch to meet the organization's goals and market needs. The role reports to the VP of Strategic Product Management.   The SPM integrates the activities of product management, product development, marketing communications, services and consulting in the development, implementation and maintenance of products that align with the business strategy.   Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for solutions that meet or exceed revenue and market share goals Establishes Strategic Product Roadmaps for market offerings, including: developing new products, expanding on existing solutions, and leveraging existing products to build platform - based solutions Will work with our Optum Shared Services partner to create a go to market strategy for products that support the US Spanish speaking population. The Products envisioned are the components that form the core of administering a health plan Synthesize competitive analysis and market assessments to establish go - to - market strategies that capitalize on market trends, customer needs and competitive positioning.  Clearly understands the competitive landscape - competitor strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses Segments markets, identifies target customers and uncovers market needs; Understands market trends and competitive threats Responsible for go to market strategy, value proposition definition and key differentiation messaging Conducts buy / build / partner analysis as part of investment planning and develops Business Cases to support this planning Constantly collects and analyzes performance data (e.g., market, financial, and operational) in order to identify new opportunities for the business Support Sales for key client activities Sales Enablement, training, value proposition development and support Champions Market Intimacy activities - development of Product Advisory Councils for strategic planning Thought leadership for the portfolio and markets served (Industry Association membership, conference participation / attendance, and key client forums) Product and Marketing Strategies  -  establishing a vision for the product and crafting a path to the future (which markets to address, which capabilities to bring to market and investment prioritization)


Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Four - year degree in business, healthcare administration processes, or technology (or equivalent)
5+ Years either with experience managing a diverse product portfolio as a Product Manager or healthcare operations experience
Knowledge of software development process, experience with requirements management, project management, and complex projects and activities
Strong demonstrated ability to lead business initiatives to a successful result
Experience in complex, matrix organizations; knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network
Bi - lingual in English and Spanish with ability to conduct business in both languages
Demonstrated leadership ability with cross - functional teams
Ability to effectively deal with moderate levels of ambiguity - can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, comfortably handles risk and uncertainty
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Effective formal presentation and facilitation skills in a variety of settings
Ability to work independently and in a team environment in a positive and supportive manner
Strong analytical abilities, organization and project / process management skills
Good negotiation, problem solving, planning and decision - making skills. Accurately scopes out projects, sets objectives and goals, develops schedules and resource assignments, measures performance against goals, and evaluates results
Strong initiative and self - motivation
Ability to manage projects simultaneously and achieve goals. Uses resources effectively and efficiently
Excellent follow through, attention to detail, and time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization

Healthcare experience in either Healthcare Operations or Healthcare Product  services
