The Student Success Transition Coordinator, under the supervision of the Student Success Manager, will assist in identifying student's goals and provide resources that will help students transition from Adult Education to college or employment. In addition, The Student Success Transition Coordinator will be responsible for proactively supporting a caseload of students in ABE, ASE, ESL, Bridge, and ICAPS classes in the division's transition efforts.

The Student Success Transition Coordinator will coordinate with faculty, tutors, testing, and registration to place students in college courses. Also, the position is responsible for coordinating and partnering with various Student Development departments to ensure smooth transition of Adult Education students to other support service programs. The position will also develop referral systems and work closely with external college partners, the Lake County Job Center, and Area Planning Council members to conduct job readiness workshops, paying for college workshops, IET program outreach, and any other service that will help prepare Adult Education students for college or the workforce.


1. Bachelor's degree.

2. At least one year of higher education experience.

3. High-level computer skills in Microsoft Office.

4. Coordination experience.

5. Ability to work with the diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of students, faculty, and staff.

6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
