Job Title: Logistics Coordinator Frozen
Reports To: Assistant Logistics Manager
Department: Logistics

Work closely with suppliers, warehouses, loaders, carriers and other team members to coordinate shipment of documents related to the purchasing of goods. Document accuracy is vital; this role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation and timely delivery of necessary documents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary job duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Prepare and track documents to ensure timely delivery
• Obtain all necessary shipping documents for the export of the cargo
• Create all document drafts within 24-48 hours of shipment sailing for customer approval
• Follow proper County, State and/or Foreign Embassy legalization procedures to ensure country conformity
• Maintain open line of communication with customers so that they are aware of the status of their shipment documents
• Ensure accurate and on time documentation for all shipments originated from various countries
• Remain up to date with international trade rules and regulations as well as country legalization requirements
• Work with suppliers to receive product and process POs
• Work with shipping lines to schedule timely shipment of product and containers according to customer's timeline.
• Work with accounting to ensure accurate payments are received and sent.
• Examine and confirm invoices and shipping docs.
• Work with brokers, truckers, and warehouse to ensure all logistic needs are met.
• Keep inventory up to date and accurate.
• Maintain positive relationships with our producers and customers.
• If required, keep haccp plans up to date.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), and one to two-year related experience in documentation and/or logistics, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to read and write in Spanish is required.

Computer Skills
Knowledge in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills required.
