You'll travel up to 70%, spreading your time evenly across the locations in the US and Mexico, with a yearly visit to the plant in the Philippines. You'll sometimes work outside of normal business hours, occasionally on short notice, such as to respond to safety incidents.

In this position, you'll be joining the Boral Stone Group of 2000+ employees at 11 operating sites across North America and one plant in the Philippines. To be a good fit for Bilingual Senior Manager of Environmental Health & Safety for our stone division, you should have:

  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene or another related field
  • 5+ years of safety experience in an industrial work environment or in an industrial consulting capacity, ideally across multiple locations and a large-scale environment
  • An understanding of how to manage safety in a low-automation industry that requires highly manual processes (including a strong understanding of ergonomics, safety equipment, air and noise personal monitoring equipment, etc.)
  • Experience leading teams and/or managing safety programs, with the ability to come into the role ready to drive the programs immediately
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are required
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of EH&S regulations, including OSHA regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and strategic thinking ability
  • Proficiency with technology, including familiarity with MS Office programs and some experience with SAP enterprise software
  • A valid driver's license to visit local sites on a regular basis
