Sodexo is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to join our team at our prestigious Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe, IL!
Our Catering Sales Manager will have experience in the hospitality market, selling high end events & catering services for wedding, social events & corporate meetings. The ideal candidate will fully understand food, catering and current event trends; will have wine and spirits knowledge; strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills This role interfaces directly with clients through entire planning process and is the on-site contact for events.
Full cycle sales- prospecting new external sales, site visits, contracts, up-selling f/b, liquor, linen, rentals, AV, etc
- Managing all receivables for event
Maintaining records in Caterease Software
Sales goal target of 1.5M sales annually
Responding timely to inquiries, prospecting new business, repeat business
Events Market with 70% Wedding/Social: 30% Corporate/Internal client events
Communications directly with our CBG client, corporate sponsors, board members
Integrally involved in Marketing efforts, with focus on use of Social Media
Prior experience networking with professional associations like CVB, Chamber, MPI, etc. is helpful
Prior Event sales experience required, cultural attraction sales strongly desired.
Must have knowledge of event & space planning, catering sales, BEO & contract completion.

**Quarterly Sales Incentive Available**
Directs internal and external sales and marketing at a client account. Manages and directs Unit Sales Representatives to meet sales and revenue objectives. Develops and implements sales strategies. May actively book or manage select clients. Researches and analyzes market trends.
