Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services Operations Manager for Rush Copley. Copley is a teaching medical center located 45 Miles SW of the Chicago Loop. Hospital is in a great location and sits on 100 acres of beautiful landscaped property. It is 5 Miles SE of downtown Aurora, IL.
Rush-Copley is high volume and licensed for 211 Beds, all private rooms. Annual patient days are >55,000. Our Environmental Services include services at 1 main campus and 1 offsite Free Standing Emergency Center. At the main campus there are 2 medical office buildings. Linen Services are managed by Sodexo. Long standing client we've been servicing for over 17 years.
The ideal candidate will have prior custodial experience for an Environmental Services healthcare department with direct reports and custodial front-line staff. Exceptional communication, unit financial, interpersonal and technical skills are necessary. Must have the ability to drive client engagement and patient/employee satisfaction results to a high level. Previous Sodexo or contract management leadership experience desired. The ability to be bilingual in Spanish would assist in managing this workforce.

Proven results in positively impacting HCAHPS and patient satisfaction, superior interpersonal skills and a track record of being highly integrated with the ability to build relationships throughout the organizations they have previously worked at is a must. Must have experience with joint commission inspections and be completely familiar with all regulations governing hospitals, to include biohazard waste and pharmaceutical waste. Also, a proven Sodexo background with our UOS (Unit Operating Systems), TRAKKAR, HUR, FOSS, CARES and demonstrated organized leadership style and drive for result approach to hold all employees and management team members accountable for results on a daily basis is highly desired.

Provides management oversight for Environmental Services exempt and non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Environmental Service programs are in place and functioning according to design to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements.
-Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexho safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory and maintenance.
-Assumes GM responsibilities and authority in his or her absence
-Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring compliance to operating standards.
-Ensures compliance with application of all Sodexo Quality Assurance and Regulatory standards within the contractually agreed upon scope of services.
-Establish and/or adhere to defined operating standards, develops and implements quality improvements and ensures direct reports and staff adhere to the standards and expectations.
-Assists with Management of Environmental Service budget by ensuring full compliance to established operating standards, monitoring costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, and material), and taking corrective action as needed.
