Description

Business Development Manager Mobile Services

iBasis, one of the largest global carriers of international communications, a leading provider of mobile roaming services, and a growing provider of IoT connectivity, is looking for an enthusiastic, driven and well versed Business Development Manager to join their America's Sales team.

Based in Lexington, MA (just outside of Boston), the Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing a diverse portfolio of mobile services accounts in the America's.

Responsibilities:
Sell mobile services and related VAS to prospect customers in the Americas Region (MNOs- Mobile Network Operators).
Manage sales through forecasting, account strategy, and planning.
Develop new relationships and commercial proposals for the opportunities in the region based on targets.
Participate in the strategy, development, presentation and sale of a value proposition.
Present and influence new opportunities internally to build business case and buy-in.
Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale.
Traveling on site for potential customer meetings and participate in regional events that will help to meet sales objectives.


Requirements

Requirements:

4-6 years of outside sales hunter/business development experience with a quota carrying sales role
Experience in telecommunications sales (required) with focus on mobile services (preferred)
Fluency in both English and Spanish, verbal & written, is required, Portuguese is desired
Must be confident, with prior experience consistently meeting quota
Ability to think analytically and build strategic action plans based on targets
Ability to penetrate accounts, build relationships and close stakeholders
Outstanding negotiation, communication, relationship building, and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of CRM or Salesforce.com
Experience with accounts in LATAM and USA
Able to work independently, but comfortable in asking for help when needed
Innate desire to take ownership and motivated by results
Self-motivated, fast learner with a positive attitude
Team player able to work with other business lines when required
Travel up to 20% to customers, trade shows, and other iBasis offices as necessary
