The Finance Business Partner - Operations is responsible for influencing business decisions by providing financial transparency through forecasting, planning, strategic planning, measurement, business case development, capital management and internal controls. The Finance Manager manages end-to-end Strategic Planning, Annual Planning and Forecasting processes and activities, in addition to managing monthly and quarterly actual reporting.


  • Act as a Finance Business Partner working with Officers/Senior Leadership in the identification and execution of strategic approaches towards financial processes and methodologies (e.g., planning, reporting), as well as proactive financial results management and communications
  • Analyze long-term impact of new or anticipated strategies and decisions and consider ramifications to the business
  • Supervise junior team members to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness
  • Act as a point of contact for segmental deliverables and ad-hoc requests
  • Provide support for management presentations
  • Enhance and maintain management reporting standards
  • Set up and perform control processes to ensure tight financial controls and proper mitigations are in place
  • Lead and assist various department and company projects

Forecast and Planning

  • Get full and deep understanding of our business, processes, systems and products
  • For each forecast and plan, discuss with segment leaders to obtain key assumptions, including changes and initiatives as well as their impacts
  • Update models and assumptions to be in line with business trend and strategies
  • Submit forecasting on a timely basis
  • Analyze and provide commentary on variances and trends
  • Put together forecasting analysis package
  • Work with actuarial department, segment leaders and management to conduct annual field comp deferral study
  • Responsible for other day-to-day planning and forecasting activities

Actual reporting

  • Review actual results, explain variances compared to forecast and plan, and provide analytical opinions to the management
  • Conduct and analyze deferral calculations and amortization quarterly
  • Analyze results and provide accrual input
  • Generate actual analytics and reporting package monthly and quarterly
  • Respond to auditors' requests


      • 7+ years of FP&A experience in Insurance - including planning & forecasting, monthly MI production
      • Strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent excel skills
      • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
      • Outstanding communication skills

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related fields
