Job Summary:

We're currently looking for a Director of Sales for one of our key sales markets. Accountable for the profitability, sales growth and success of Benjamin Moore and retailers in the market. Provides short and long term strategic and functional direction to support Company business objectives. Allocates and manages resources, coordinates and fund program roll-outs, embed an operational and implementation excellence culture, foster a customer-centric environment delighting segmented customers and end users, and attract, build and motivate a high-performing and sustainable sales team. Territory covers the Great Lakes market with four Area Sales Managers and approximately 36 field sales associates.

 Required Skills:

-MBA or advanced degree or certifications strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree with equivalent business experience will be considered

-Proven strategic, business and financial planning knowledge skills and competencies

-Ability to interpret and communicate mission and value concepts to a wide range of internal and external representatives

-Proven ability to make strategic, operational and administrative decisions in response to emerging conditions and environmental circumstances

-Adept at dealing with ambiguity

-Strong business planning knowledge and abilities

-Excellent market assessment knowledge and abilities

-Tactical alignment knowledge, abilities and agility

-Strong general management knowledge and abilities, including Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, Logistics and Marketing

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to credibly "partner" with other leaders in the business

-Effective relationship building skills

-Proven coaching, teaching and mentoring skills

-Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus

-Ability to travel up to 50%

-Ideal candidate will reside in the greater Chicagol metro area
