Sodexo School Services provides essential food management solutions to school districts across the country. We have a NEW account opening in Maywood, IL (11 miles from downtown Chicago) and are seeking an Executive Chef. Our Chef will assist in opening the account and will have a direct impact on all culinary operations_ as he or she will be responsible for menu/recipe development and culinary training across the entire school district. The Executive Chef will also support the retail and catering functions. Our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual that is able to create culinary promotions to further increase student meal purchases. Previous experience in a K-12 environment is preferred but not required. A great opportunity to launch your career to the next level working for a dynamic company!

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
Key Duties

-Customer & Client satisfaction
-Manages food & physical safety program.



Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
