JOB SUMMARY: 


The Sales Support Manager increases sales through relationship management of external insurance agencies/agents who sell Combined Insurance. By acting as the single point of contact for assigned agencies, the Sales Support Manager provides outstanding partnership by responding to agency management and agent inquiries, sales and product training, incentive program management. The Sales Support Manager will drive resolution to agency problems, inquiries, concerns, etc. by working cross functionally within Combined Insurance. Sales Support Manager will assist with marketing and product development activities for both external and internal sales channels.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with agents/agencies through extensive travel and remote communications.

  • Influence positive sales though partnership and exceptional customer service

  • Act as agent's single point of contact with Combined Insurance. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, providing recommendations and partnering with other functions as needed to resolve issues.

  • Collaborate with the global incentives team to create and manage sales incentive programs.

  • Administer and oversee sales incentive programs that are tailored each region. Use knowledge of agent groups and products to customize solutions.

  • Answer questions and train outside agents on Combined Insurance products and policies.


COMPETENCIES:


  • Ability to influence agent behavior through partnership and incentives

  • Exceptional customer service and a strong ownership of relationships

  • Ability to customize sales incentives and training based on local agency dynamics and product type

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially remote communication

  • Ability to maintain high energy and positive attitude

  • Empathize with customers and diffuse difficult situations


 


  • 5+ years of insurance related experience in marketing or sales

  • 2+ years of relationship management experience

  • 5+ years in supplemental health insurance - accident, critical illness, and disability

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office suite of products


 


EDUCATION:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
