Job #75620 - Sodexo is seeking a General Manager (IV) / Director of Dining Services for the Holmstad Retirement Community in Batavia, IL. The Holmstad is one of 13 communities that make up the national system of the Covenant Retirement Communities. Located on 38 scenic acres in the heart of the Fox River Valley, in the historic city of Batavia, a suburb of nearby Chicago. This is a Faith Based, 450 Resident Continuing Care Retirement Community with: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Health Care.
In this role, you manage; 5 Star Dining Services, a budget of over $3.4 million, 5 managers who oversee 40 employees, Sodexo & Holmstad systems and standards, the HACCP and safety programs, regulatory compliance, management and employee training programs, and the resident satisfaction program enhancements. This is a client facing position and the client is very involved in the day to day operation of the whole facility. Being able to communicate with people at all different levels is a critical success factor for this position.
Your Skills Checklist for this position:
College Degree / Trade School Certificate, a Servsafe Certificate
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) / enrolled in program
Healthcare and Sodexo Contract Food Service Management experience
Strong Culinary background, fine dining, and catering
P&L experience managing for $3.4 million in financial volume
Experience managing other managers
Experience building client and customer service relationships
Computer skills; financial, food, and labor management systems
Experience working as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Schedule may vary and may include some weekend / holiday coverage.
