We deliver this must-have insight to the financial and risk, legal, tax and accounting, intellectual property and science, and media markets - powered by the world's most trusted news organization.

We are looking for a new colleague:

  • The project is expected to begin in mid-to-late-January 2019 and is anticipated to last for 3 months.

You and your team:

You will join the international Legal Managed Services (LMS) team based in Gdynia, London, India, New York, and Minnesota. LMS provides contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance and due diligence, corporate secretarial and compliance risk management services, document review and management, legal research, litigation support services to leading multinational companies and financial organizations. Within your role, you will work on projects; including projects for large investment banks, supporting organizations with reviewing, summarizing and analyzing financial documents.

Why is this job important?

In the wake of the global financial crisis, OTC derivatives have been blamed for increasing systemic risk. With the ever-increasing regulatory landscape raising a lot of unanswered questions, our services help global financial institutions navigate through the maze by managing obligations for relationship and transactional documentation.

Some of the daily tasks you will perform:

  • Review, analyze and summarize clauses from a variety of financial documents (e.g. ISDA Master Agreement and CSA, CMOF, GMRA, GMSLA, IMA, bilateral amendments) in Spanish and in English language.

  • Act as a team player while working with a team of lawyers on several financial abstractions or documentation projects

  • Manage deadlines without delivery delays; and escalate client issues promptly and appropriately.

  • Attend and actively participate in mandatory and non-mandatory training and certification courses

What do you need to bring? (required)

  • Bachelors Degree -- degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics is preferable

  • Fluent Spanish, being comfortable analyzing and abstracting information from financial contracts in Spanish and in English

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and in Spanish

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Ability to multi-task, detail-orientated, strong analytical abilities

  • Interest in technology

You will be even more competitive if: (preferred)

  • Previous experience in working with financial documentation, document administration, or case management.

  • Experience working in Spanish and English language in a global financial organization would be an advantage

We offer:

  • Job in an international, dynamic environment where you contribute to building innovative solutions for business professionals

  • Intensive training package

  • High standards of ethics in the workplace

  • Networking opportunities

  • Free parking, casual dress code, and an individual cube workspace with dual monitors

  • Our facility also includes an on-site Caribou Coffee, US Bank, Subway restaurant, yoga studio, medical clinic, dry cleaning services, post office, and much more! We are conveniently located in Eagan, MN, just a few minutes off highway 35E.

  • Because this is a contractual role, contractors who accept the position will be hired through our contingent workforce management partner, TalentNet. Contractors will not be employees of Thomson Reuters and will receive a W-2.
