Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager Central FP&A Spend Team, the Sr. Financial Analyst supports the global Business Segment by providing visibility to commercial spending and communicating the key drivers of variances to forecast, plan, and prior year. The role will include additional assignments and duties as needed. The role is instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of Business Unit (BU) commercial spending and related financial reporting.  The Sr. analyst is the key resource for, and independently partners with the BU Finance Managers and provides analytical support for their BU. The Sr. Analyst also plays a crucial role in the commercial spend quarterly forecast and annual budgeting process.  The role also supports Central FP&A's ongoing efforts to provide insight into business performance while driving efficiency through appropriate materiality of review and standardization of reporting and support activities.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for Preparing and distributing monthly worldwide business unit and segment spend causals and presenting and explaining to the BU's.  Monthly review of spending details in SAP, making correcting journal entries as needed, and reviewing findings at the monthly controls meeting. The spend team Sr. analyst supports the FP&A cycle for global CP&S Business Units including the monthly spending causals, and coordinating quarterly forecast and budget templates for BU Finance. The role will include other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
The Sr. Financial Analyst continually looks for ways to improve workflow in causal, forecast and budgeting processes, and standardize reporting across BU's.  Role also partners with the rest of the Central FP&A organization to provide reporting on BU spending and helps resolve spend reporting or forecast issues and questions.
The Sr. Financial Analyst as part of the Central Spend team and broader Central FP&A organization will be directly involved in identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement, and leveraging of common tools and resources to better serve the organization.  Examples include development of standard reporting, streamlined accounting procedures, common reporting packages, and a simplified AOP and forecast process.
