JOB SUMMARY:

Support CAD Manager in researching, implementing, and maintaining software, templates and tools related to office design and visualization.   Actively seek new opportunities in the design & visualization categories that may improve quality or efficiency of design offerings.  Help create and maintain documentation and train designers on new initiatives.  Support the CAD Manager with hardware rollouts.  Support the design team with software related issues/requests. Train new designers on software and department standards, provide ongoing support.

Provide design support for sales team and clientele including: design consultation, project collaboration, space planning and dental equipment placement/specifications with a strong focus on creative design solutions, special attention to detail, ergonomics and ADA/life safety code compliance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the CAD Manager in researching, implementing, and maintaining software, templates and tools related to space design and visualization.   Actively seek new opportunities in the design & visualization categories that may improve quality or efficiency of Integrated Design Studio (IDS) offerings.  Help create and maintain documentation and train designers on new initiatives.  Support the CAD Manager with hardware rollouts.  Support the IDS team with software related issues/requests.

Collaborate with CAD Manager and IDS Management to provide feedback that supports the enhancement of Henry Schein's IDS offerings, implement new design techniques, systems changes, marketing ideas and detail updates that support this value added service.

Project and plan review, programming, and general consultation; explanation of services and processes to both sales team and clientele as needed.  Using CAD and 3D visualization software, provide accurate completion of preliminary dental office designs using information provided by Equipment and Technology Sales Specialist

Completion of final specification plans as related to the installation of dental equipment including locating all related utilities and reinforcement as well as collaboration with contractors, architects, and Henry Schein internal partners.

Overall project management including: tracking, prioritizing, projecting and communicating accurate timeframes. 



Qualifications

Associates Degree in planning or design fields such as interiors, planning, architecture, engineering or similar field required. Bachelors preferred.

Experience using AutoCAD or Architectural Desktop.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with 3D modeling software including but not limited to AutoCAD and 3D Max.  Revit experience a plus

  • Understanding of advanced settings and customization of tools within a CAD environment

  • Strong knowledge of uniform building codes, ANSI, and ADA guidelines

  • Understanding of basic construction terminology and ability to read blueprints

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of space planning

  • Self-starter with strong analytical and decision making skills

  • Project management skills a must: demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, adjust to changing conditions, and meet deadlines

  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with both internal and external team members

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Open-minded approach to challenges and strong sense of team collaboration

  • High attention to detail, self-motivation, resourcefulness, ability to function in a team environment, positive and professional attitude
