Description

The Tulsa City-County Library (TCCL) has a dynamic opportunity for a Hispanic Resource Center Coordinator (HRC Coordinator).

The right individual is forward-thinking, creative, outcomes oriented, and has a passion for Hispanic culture and history in Oklahoma.

The HRC Coordinator plays a crucial role in representing TCCL and networking to leverage Tulsa Library services and partnerships for the benefit of the community.

The HRC Coordinator must be knowledgeable in emerging trends in library services to further develop and contribute to the civic and economic development of our communities.

The Coordinator will strive to build a stronger community through creativity at work, and by marketing the Hispanic Resource Center services through collaborating with staff around the Library system.

The HRC Coordinators role is very fluid in the day to day design of the position.

One day the Coordinator position may involve planning events, building displays or working with customers at the service desk; other days may bring presentations to various media groups or spending an evening with a local author.

The HRC Coordinator will be inspired, and will inspire others in their dedication to provide the best library and information service to the complex and vibrant Latinx community in Tulsa.

1.

Master's Degree in Library Science preferred, and required post hire;2.

Two or more years' experience in collection management required;3.

Three or more years' experience in successfully building community relations within a specific culture.4.
