JOB OVERVIEW:

The Senior Web Analyst is responsible for developing strategies to utilize enhanced analytics tracking to uncover actionable, data driven customer insights for all divisions. Utilizes web analytics data and other data sources to identify new marketing and sales opportunities. Defines tagging configuration protocols for all divisions to ensure proper data collection across all business units.  Collaborates with IT teams & 3rd party vendors in testing & deploying custom tags & specialized code. Works closely with existing 3rd party vendors and new vendors to develop tagging strategies, manage tag deployment testing and implement custom reporting to measure performance. Other responsibilities include developing SEO strategies including managing keyword targets and directing SEO team in the development of SEO optimized page content and proper use of HTML tags. Assist in development and mentoring of other web analysts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  •          Partner with divisional leaders to define web analytics reporting procedures and tagging requirements

  •          Collaborate with IT teams & 3rd party vendors to deploy & test new tagging configurations and specialized coding

  •          Analyze web analytics performance data to report ROI on divisional digital marketing efforts

  •          Uncover sales & marketing opportunities by analyzing web analytics data and offline data sources

  •          Design and develop divisional KPI dashboards & custom reports and present findings to senior leadership

  •          Analyze website traffic from multiple points of view - by segment, by campaign and by user interaction to provide actionable insights

  •          Assist marketing teams with developing targeted marketing campaigns by utilizing customer website behavior and sales history

  •          Provide guidance to all divisional marketing teams on proper web tracking protocols to ensure proper data collection

  •          Define and implement SEO strategies and provide crucial competitor analysis reports Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors and provide assistance in developing proper data collection and reporting

    KNOWLEDGE: 

    Senior level professional; knowledge and full understanding of one or more disciplines and good knowledge of organization, processes and customers. Good judgment, strong analytical ability, evaluation, originality and ingenuity required to perform tasks. Know and apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field. Resolve issues and assignments in creative ways. Some assignments may be broad in nature. May serve as a resource to others to resolve complex problems and issues. May take on project co-lead role as required.

    COMPLEXITY: 

    Work on problems of diverse scope and moderate impact where analysis of data requires a review of a variety of factors. Use best practices and knowledge of business strategy to solve complex problems; recommend solutions to business challenges. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

    SUPERVISION: 

    Receive minimal instruction on day-to-day work and general instruction on new projects or assignments.  May act as a resource to provide informal guidance for TSMs with less experience. Assignments can be broad in nature.



    Qualifications

    MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: 

    Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

    Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications; professional certification may be required to advance.

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

  •          Google Analytics Certification is required

  •          5 to 7 years of experience in using the Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel skills

    PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: 

    Typically, to advance to a new job level, TSMs must demonstrate professional behavior and should consistently be at the high-end of meets expectations or consistently exceed expectations.

    TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
