The Spanish and Portuguese Program in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a non-tenure track lecturer position in Spanish to begin September 1, 2019. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal.
Duties include teaching three courses per semester in Spanish language and literature, directing our Catalan language program, advising Spanish majors and Catalan minors, and providing service to the department and the university.
- Ph.D. in hand at time of appointment, native or near-native fluency in Spanish, Catalan, and English.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching are required.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with teaching experience and qualifications.
