Positions in this Clinical Administrative Coordinator function includes those responsible for initial triage of members, administrative intake of members or managing the admission/discharge information post-notification, working with hospitals and the clinical team. Includes managing incoming calls, managing requests for services from providers/members, providing information on available network services and transferring members as appropriate to clinical staff. Manages the referrals process, processes incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations. This function includes intake, notification and census roles.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Make outbound calls and take inbound calls to pregnant women to complete an enrollment call and risk assessment
  • Complete risk assessment with potential new moms to be enrolled in program
  • Recite enrollment and risk assessment script to all potential new members
  • Manage administrative intake of members
  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
  • Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
  • Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Ability to work four days during the week and one Saturday as normal schedule
  • 6+ months of call center experience or experience on the phone making high volume of calls
  • 6+ months of customer service experience in an office setting
  • 6+ months of healthcare experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word to be able to create, modify and edit documents, spreadsheet and correspondences
  • Work set schedule Mon-Thru Sat. 9:00 AM to 6PM
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to type 55 WPM
  • Bilingual Spanish

Soft Skills:

  • Comfortability talking with members regarding complex women's health issues and pregnancy related issues
